Sock Monkey Babies

I have some baby cards to share with you. These adorable images are Whimsie Doodles images and can be found here. I learned from Cindy about a site called Vintage Workshop and got these great downloadable designer papers from them. My basic CS was a Kraft paper from PTI and the sentiment is from PTI's Bitty Baby Blessings. They're colored with copics and my train border on the boy's card is a Martha Stewart punch. Happy Father's Day

Just wanted to share a few cards I did for my guys for Father's Day. The first is for my eldest son and I had to get this one in the mail so went for something simple. Hope it got there on time, but if not, it's not likely he'll check my blog and see it here first. If he does, Happy Father's Day Matt! My idea was inspired by Stacy's card here, but I changed mine slightly. I used a different cup and "steam" than she did, and I made my sentiment on the front a bookmark. I used the cup from Flourishes "Coffee with Friends" and free-handed the rim around it and colored them with Copics. The steam is a partial image from Impression Obsession's "Smell the Coffee" set. The top sentiment on the bookmark is from "Smell the Coffee" and then "A Man's View" from Flourishes.
My next two are adorable Whimsie Doodles images that I had to customize since my one son has boys and girls. The DP for the whales is from SU and the background DP is from my DCWV "Old World" stack (I'm loving these papers.) I was so intrigued with Ellen Hutson's glitter classes that I employed this technique on these two cards. I used my score-tape that I got from 7 Kids CF, lined it up along the edge of my DP and punched out the scallop edge with my SU edge punch. I adhered the CS to the main card and then peeled off the top strip and sprinkled my SU Ultra-Fine glitter over the Score-Tape. The second thin line was the tiny strip that was left when I punched the scallop so I glued it on and repeated the technique. You should be able to click on each picture for a closer view. I haven't delivered my husband's card yet as he is not here to receive it at the moment, so I'll wait on sharing that one. I hope all you dad's out there have a great Father's Day. Owl Love You.....

A week ago I promised I'd post my other Whimsie Doodle images that I was so in love with, but I didn't even get one of them done until tonight. I do love this little guy and had to make sure I finished him. I colored him with Copics, cut him out and mounted him on one of my Heart Nesties. The DP's are Basic Grey's Sugar Rush, and the designs at the bottom are border punches. Crazy 4 Challenges has a heart challenge going on, so I think I'll enter him in that challenge. Their DT has the cutest cards with hearts - I'm really impressed! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a good week.

Cloud Nine Leah

I'm back with another valentine card for you, and this one was so much fun to do. I love this image. I pulled out my Bittersweet BG paper from last year and used the colors on one of the papers to build my color scheme. I colored her with my Copics - love those markers! - and I cut her with a circle Nestie using the technique where part of it overlaps the die cut. I've used this quite a bit and so glad I learned about this. It seemed to be perfect with this one. My sentiment is from Alota Rubber Stamp's "Valentine Cuties" and I punched it with the Word Punch from SU backed with one cut from the new Modern Word Punch. I've got too more adorable images from Whimsie Doodles colored and ready to assemble into cards. I'll be sharing those with you as well so stay tuned. Valentine's A-Plenty

You may be wondering where I disappeared to since my last post was a week ago. I've had that nasty cold, cough, no-can-talk stuff that's going around. I feel like I lost a whole week. I did manage to work intermittently on cards, but without much exhuberance I'm sorry to say. However, I finished these adorable valentines from Whimsie Doodles that I colored a week ago and I just love them. In fact, today they released 4 more and I've got to make them up as well 'cause they're just so darn cute! I colored these with my copics and used a variety of papers to go with each. They're pretty self-explanatory so I'll let it go with that. Hope you like them and thanks for stopping by. I'll try to quit being MIA and get back to some faithful blogging. Christmas Treats

The other day I saw this adorable image on Cindy Haffner's blog and learned that it comes from Whimsie Doodles. It is a digi-stamp set, and there are 3 versions of the muffin bottom and 2 tops, the Christmas tree and a Snowman. I thought it was just so cute, and they do have some sweet images. The "Sweet Treats" sentiment is from one of my Just-Rite stamp sets and the holly leaves are punched with my MS punch. I colored it with my copics. The main DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Jolly by Golly.
