Love You This Much

I got this adorable little snowman from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps the other day. They are going to all digital stamps and had their clear stamps on sale. I was anxious to ink him up so I decided to incorporate two challenges in the process. The first is a sketch challenge from A Spoonful of Sugar. I don't think I've ever done one of their challenges, but I read about it on Shary's blog and decided to use it for my card. The other is the Stamptacular Sunday challenge, which is to make a card using only blue and white. I saw this on Christine's blog here and her card is adorable. I wasn't sure about using blue with the hearts, but I decided it would still be cute. The sentiment that came with it is so sweet. I used my "Snow Dot" CB embossing folder for the background paper. My blues are all SU papers in Not Quite Navy, Sky Blue and Baja Breeze. I colored him with Copics in B93, B95 and B97 and BG0000. I was so happy that I had bought a special ribbon trio from SU awhile back that included the Not Quite Navy ribbon. Hope you like it. It was fun and fairly easy with limited colors and the sketch all laid out for us. Thanks for stopping by. Be watching for the next Busy Beauty blog hop on Thursday with some cute new images that go with this time of year.

Child's Play

I don't know about you, but when I was young I spent hours on my swing. I can remember waking up before anyone else and going out and swinging. When I saw this digital download at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps I had to get it. I used papers from PTI including her paper-pieced dress. I used my oval Just Rite stamper for the sentiment and decorated scalloped edge and sponged it with River Rock. I attached some half-pearls and a few buttons next to the Nestie Lables One die cut and I liked it - simple, but it sure reminded me of those fun days. Yesterday I learned of a vendor called Stampscapes after looking at Scenes by Sandy ( thank you to Jenny Gropp for mentioning her in yesterday's post) and now I'm off in orbit. OMG, how incredible! It's a whole different dimension, but I'm aching to try her techniques. Hope your week is going well. See you again soon and thanks for stopping by.

Make a Joyful Noise

Well, I finally got a card done that I could post. I have so many cards I want to make and post and so little time right now. This is my newest stamp from Sweet and Sassy. It's a Sarah Kay design called Angels Rejoice. My main cardstock is a Bazzill dotted swiss and my DP is Dashing from SU. The sentiment is from Flourishes Christmas set called Rejoice. I used my MS branch punch for some "holly" and attached some "berries" by cutting out red with my smallest circle punch and then attaching black half-pearls. My image was stamped with Versa Mark, heat embossed with black embossing powder, and then colored in parts with Copic markers. I used my large oval Nestie to cut and emboss the whole image and sponged it with Versa Magic in Wheat. I like how it turned out. I have a few more new stamps I'm anxious to stamp and post, so I'll try not to be so long in posting. Be sure to check out Paper Craft Planet. I need to find my way around it, but it's booming with papercrafters. Thanks so much for stopping by.
